Why We Call Our Blog the Miracle of More

The miracle is a beautiful image of Ephesians 3:20--more than I can ask or imagine. Every day is a miracle. Every moment is a miracle. Specifically for our family, the miracle of more is our family growing in ways I would never have imagined when we first committed to adoption 8 years ago. But, the greatest miracle is the change in ME!

No! We are not adopting again. Not that I'm opposed to the idea, but Stan says, "We're finished!" And God has not rained any money on us lately, and we now have 7 people living in 3 bedrooms.

So, while Stan and I have both said, "No," over and over again to a dog, we've had a change of heart. One day not long ago, this HUGE dog followed me home from my walk. Did I mention he was HUGE? Well, he was gentle and the girls were fascinated with him, still a little scared, but constantly saying, "Where's Elijah? Can I go see Elijah?" Anyway, Elijah disappeared in 36 hours. But, it got us thinking. The girls are both afraid of dogs. Perhaps owning a gentle dog would help them overcome their fear.

Which leads me to the introduction of Cocoa!

It is so hot here in south Georgia. The humidity would kill a person from Arizona, but the girls keep going outside. They come in dripping with sweat, only to go out again in a few minutes. They can't stay away from her.

What a sweet picture of the girls and their furry new family member. What a wonderful new addition to your family. Hugs.

You can't blame them from wanting to out with your newest family member! Soooo cute! but remember, they grow up so train her right! I still have a dog that pees all over the house. Well, technically, she's my daughters dog. She moved back in a year ago and brought her poorly housebroken dog with her. She then moved out several months later but the dog did not...what's up with that?! Anyway, have fun with the Cocoa! Terry

Cocoa is adorable. K and E loved our dogs as puppies, but now that they are big puppies, they are scared again. Maybe that's because they are big PUPPIES and not "dogs" yet and they are full of energy. Who knows?
