Why We Call Our Blog the Miracle of More

The miracle is a beautiful image of Ephesians 3:20--more than I can ask or imagine. Every day is a miracle. Every moment is a miracle. Specifically for our family, the miracle of more is our family growing in ways I would never have imagined when we first committed to adoption 8 years ago. But, the greatest miracle is the change in ME!

If you have questions about adoption, our work in South Africa, or spina bifida, please email me at rbmattox@bellsouth.net

God's Awesome Provisions--UPDATE

Riley is out of recovery. The family is visiting with him. His surgery has been a success, and his "new" kidney output is just what the doctors had hoped for. Praising our Jesus!!!!!!

If anybody out there is checking today....

Joli is out of surgery, and doing beautifully. The surgery was uneventful, and she is in recovery. The doctor told the family that her one kidney is functioning better than most people's two kidneys together. Isn't that just like our JESUS????

Riley has been in surgery about 2 hours. His surgery is expected to last at least 4 hours. Please pray God's hand continuing to cover the hands of the surgeons today, continued peace for the families as they wait.

Our associate pastor told me there has been a sweet peace surrounding them all today!!!!!!!

Update: Riley's transplant surgery is complete. Doctor's are "closing him up."

I was "blog hopping" the other day and came across your beautiful Josie-Tatum's blog. Noticing the town listed, I looked deeper as I knew an adoptive family who lived there. Looking at your blog, I read Riley's story...only to find the donor was in the family I know, that I KNOW the donor, Jolie!! My family traveled to China with Jolie's back in 2005! Thank you for sharing Riley's story on your blog- I was able to contact Jolie prior to today to wish her well. AND it was a blessing to know about this so our family could pray for her, Riley, and all the sweet family members involved. I am SO glad you posted how things are going on your blog...I am thankful to know things are going well thus far!! God bless!!

I was praying today for Riley and Joli and am so happy for God's mighty hand in both surgeries. Thanks for sharing these stories of God's goodness. I love the idea of a red thread linking us all together.

Much Love,
Kathie

P.S. Tell Josie-Tatum that my 9 year old daughter Ava was impressed with her gymnastics pics. (She's a gymnast, too.)
