Why We Call Our Blog the Miracle of More

The miracle is a beautiful image of Ephesians 3:20--more than I can ask or imagine. Every day is a miracle. Every moment is a miracle. Specifically for our family, the miracle of more is our family growing in ways I would never have imagined when we first committed to adoption 8 years ago. But, the greatest miracle is the change in ME!

If you have questions about adoption, our work in South Africa, or spina bifida, please email me at rbmattox@bellsouth.net

I'm Struggling

Just thought I'd tell you.

I've been good and strong....

Only teared up a time or two at the wedding. I was just sooooooo happy for Caleb and Casie.

I was okay at the airport...teared up some. But, I kept thinking....Casie will be with him soon. I will feel better knowing she is going to be with him soon.

Then, there was yesterday.

Stan had to work late.

Whitney was back at Armstrong.

Brandon was back at Athens.

Just the 2 little girls and me.

I grew mournful. I missed my BIG family. I missed all of the noise. I missed all of the excitement. I wished they were just gone to football practice, tennis, or drama. I wished I was preparing supper for all of them. I wished they were coming in soon and the noise at supper would drive me crazy.

Lift me up today, dear friends.

Robbie

I can only imagine. My oldest are only 13, but almost 14. And, I have a feeling it will fly by and I will turn around and they will be gone. Our big family will get smaller and smaller too. I teared up just thinking about you alone with just your littles. My thoughts and prayers are with you. They will come back! They will all be together again! And, I will remember to treasure this time!
