The miracle is a beautiful image of Ephesians 3:20--more than I can ask or imagine. Every day is a miracle. Every moment is a miracle. Specifically for our family, the miracle of more is our family growing in ways I would never have imagined when we first committed to adoption 8 years ago. But, the greatest miracle is the change in ME!
If you have questions about adoption, our work in South Africa, or spina bifida, please email me at rbmattox@bellsouth.net
That was how our day went. I will post more details later. I'm just overwhelmed right now. Ellie's new status is not life-threatening, but I am discouraged. Please pray for us.
I obviously don't know what has happened at these appointments, but I do have a Spina Bifida blessing, so I have some idea what you may be going through...even if for different reasons. There are so many issues with this special need. I will pray for your family and especially for Ellie. But, know this, God didn't not give you more than you can handle. He did not. You are the prefect family for Ellie, because you can handle it and you will go to great lengths for her health. "Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go." Joshua 1:9
Oh Robbie, I am so sorry. I am praying for you and for Ellie. She is such a beautiful and precious girl. I am so glad you are her mommy. I pray the Lord sends you lots of encouragement today.
These are some of my favorite pictures from our first trip to China in 2004, when we adopted Josie-Tatum. She was just 14 months old when she met her Forever Family.
