Why We Call Our Blog the Miracle of More

The miracle is a beautiful image of Ephesians 3:20--more than I can ask or imagine. Every day is a miracle. Every moment is a miracle. Specifically for our family, the miracle of more is our family growing in ways I would never have imagined when we first committed to adoption 8 years ago. But, the greatest miracle is the change in ME!

Not a Good Night

Please pray we can find a comfortable position for Josie-Tatum's arm when she sleeps. She could sleep well for a few hours, then wake up in terrible pain. We'd give her pain meds, readjust, and try to keep her calm until they started working. And, then the cycle started over.

God is good! Thank you for your intercessory prayers for one of my treasures!

Praying that today brings an easier day of pain management.

A few tips just in case you haven't tried this or heard them. An ice pack over the cast helps. Make sure it is in a ziploc bag so it can not leak on the cast. Also beanie babies make great cast props and stay in place a little better than pillows. The first couple of days are the worse. As the swelling goes down and the bone begins to knit she will be much more comfortable. It also helps to just give her the pain meds on a regular schedule the first few days and then when she is in less pain in a few days wait until she asks for it. Keep it propped up to prevent swelling. The less she moves around the better for a few days. Praying for her!
