Why We Call Our Blog the Miracle of More

The miracle is a beautiful image of Ephesians 3:20--more than I can ask or imagine. Every day is a miracle. Every moment is a miracle. Specifically for our family, the miracle of more is our family growing in ways I would never have imagined when we first committed to adoption 8 years ago. But, the greatest miracle is the change in ME!

Tornado Destroys Home in Southeast Georgia

Well, at least it destroyed the order in the home.

I have a cousin named Jackie. We nicknamed her The Little Tornado. Anytime she came to our house, she overturned the toy box and covered every inch of our floor with treasures. The boys have been on one unending expedition, searching for treasure. But, today, we used google translate to tell them they would get one piece of candy for every toy they put away. It worked!! (One Skittle at a Time0

A BIG thank you for Da Jie (Oldest Sister) Whitney!! She allowed her mama to sleep late this morning. Baba had to go back to work. He is so tired from his 12 hour shift, the talking in his sleep is quite comical...something about fat babies.

I got lots of rest last night AND took a nap with the boys today. I used google translate again to tell the boys that we would go outside and ride the car if they would take a nap without talking. They obliged quite nicely.

So we went outside and they atually took turns nicely. I did have to go across the yard and get Zhuang Zhuang out of the car once, but only once. He apparently realized that he could prolong his turn around the driveway but taking lots of detours, running into trees, backing up, etc.

Well, at least it destroyed the order in the home.

As the 3 little ones rode the car and I snapped lots of photos, JT said, "Take a picture of me riding the car." To which I replied, "You said you weren't riding the car." And, she said, "I know. My point exactly. Take a picture of me relaxing."

A second BIG thank you of the day to Joli for bringing supper.

And, two big thank yous to Gina and Vicky. Each of them brought gently used clothes to the boys, so they didn't have to wear sweat suits or go naked outside to play today! And, Josie-Tatum had a cute summer dress to lounge around in.

The Two Priceless Moments of the Day:

1--When Zhuang Zhuang saw my daddy come out of his house, he ran across the yard to mee thim, took his hand, and guided him over.

2--When Stan came home from work, Qing Zhuang ran to the carport after his car stopped to greet Baba as he came home.

And, priceless moment #3, they boys went to sleep when we all went to bed tonight. Three nights without arguements or struggles at bed time!

Praise the LORD!

Sounds like y'all are finding the new normal!! As for the toys - we found a solution - a kids size snow shovel that can be used to pile them all up for sorting - or in a rush - to put them all into the toy box for "hiding" and then sorting later! ;)

hugs - aus and co.
