Why We Call Our Blog the Miracle of More

The miracle is a beautiful image of Ephesians 3:20--more than I can ask or imagine. Every day is a miracle. Every moment is a miracle. Specifically for our family, the miracle of more is our family growing in ways I would never have imagined when we first committed to adoption 8 years ago. But, the greatest miracle is the change in ME!

If you have questions about adoption, our work in South Africa, or spina bifida, please email me at rbmattox@bellsouth.net

All Packed and Ready

Well.......

Almost.

There are a few last minute things I'll pack up tomorrow, but we've been busy today. The girls have been beyond excited, and had such fun packing their own backpacks for airplane entertainment.

A special blessing from the best sister in the world and our good friend Theresa. Tomorrow, our house is getting a cleaning!!!

I don't know if I'll have time to post tomorrow.

Work until 4:00 tomorrow. Wednesday night supper at 6:00. Home after church at 8:00. Up and ready to leave for the airport at 2:30 a.m. (Sounds fun, right?)

Today was the first day I've had the pre-natal, pre-adoptive mom jitters. I was writing the date, March 13th, when it occurred to me that we will have Zeke in 6 days. I don't know why it hit me at that moment, but it really hit!!! It's hard to explain how the anticipation has me anxious, but not fearful.

I'm off the bed for about 5 hours of sleep.

In 27 hours, we are leaving!!!!!

Months and months of prayer and leaning on Jesus are coming to the joyful end He had planned all along.
